Lemon Balm
herbAlso known as: Melissa officinalis, Cyracos
About
Lemon balm is a member of the mint family traditionally used to promote calm and support sleep. Research suggests its rosmarinic acid content may help increase GABA levels in the brain, and it is often studied in combination with valerian root for sleep support.
How It Works
Rosmarinic acid inhibits GABA transaminase, increasing synaptic GABA; also modulates nicotinic receptors.
